SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Examination)

Joining MYM Solicitors while pursuing the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route is a great way to gain practical experience and meet the QWE requirements for qualification.

SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Examination)

The SQE requires Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) from up to four placements. At the end of each placement, the SQE candidate must ensure that their QWE is signed off by a solicitor or compliance officer. It is essential that the SQE demonstrates practical and independent experience in legal work, a key component for qualification.

At MYM Solicitors, we provide practical experience that ensures candidates are able to work independently and make informed, sound decisions for clients. Throughout your placement, you will gain hands-on exposure to real legal cases, enabling you to apply legal theory to practice and develop the skills needed to make critical decisions in client matters. All candidates are always motivated to build rapport in the community.

1. Tailor Your Application: Highlight relevant skills, experience, and your interest in MYM Solicitors’ areas of law. Demonstrate your commitment to a career in the legal profession and your ability to apply practical legal knowledge.

2. Networking and Outreach: Connect with MYM Solicitors through direct inquiries or via LinkedIn to explore available roles and opportunities.

3. Prepare for the Role: Familiarize yourself with key legal tools and stay up-to-date with developments in MYM Solicitors’ practice areas.

4. Maximize the Opportunity: Engage actively in tasks, seek constructive feedback, and maintain thorough documentation of your experience to ensure it counts toward your QWE sign-off.
